Remna Schwarz is back on on the road to continue sharing his music with the public, namely his latest single “Ntchololo”.
Based on a folk song from the Guinea-Bissau Carnival “Nturudu medi iagu Ntchololo” – The children chant this song to drive away the masked entities that cause fear (the masks used are made of clay and paper, so it is easy to undo them with water).
Remna draws inspiration from these chants to illustrate the masks that each of us wears in society in order to be accepted, to achieve our goals or to disguise our real intentions. In a society where image is more and more predominant, it is difficult to be authentic.
