GAABU is a work marked by a mix of sounds, interpreted in the artist’s very own style.

After the release of the singles “Ntchololo” and “Dance N’ Praise U”, the EP is out now on all platforms, reaffirming Remna as a complete artist, creative and just like himself. A songwriter who resonates multiculturalism and who now offers us a work with echoes of mobilisation, plurality and affirmation.

The EP GAABU contains 6 tracks and features participations from several African artists: TAAL BI (Senegal), NIX (Senegal), ÉLLÀH (Cape Verde).

Based in Portugal and a true nomad of soundscapes, Remna is considered by his peers as an African treasure. Born in Senegal, Remna Schwarz has lived in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Mali, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, France, Cuba and the United States. And his music is undoubtedly a demonstration of all this experience.

Promoted by DEEDO, the artist performed in 2018 at the “South By Southwest Festival” in Texas, one of the largest music festivals on the American continent, and received excellent reviews. Like that of Wobean Music, which cites Remna’s sounds as “Great Pan-African Music”.

Remna composes and produces for artists such as Karyna Gomes, Eneida Marta, Fernando Ferreira. He has performed on stage with renowned artists such as Ayo and Youssou Ndour.

Recently, he produced and composed, in collaboration with Poundo, the soundtrack for the series MANJAK, launched on the Canal +Afrique channel in October 2021 and which received the “Ubunto D’Or” award for best television series.

Remna is a complete musician: sublime in the studio, explosive on stage. And GAABU is meant to be the embodiment of his status as an incredible artist with a unique contribution to the music of Africa and the world.
